Dove Chocolate at Home Business Opportunity

Chocolate and money? It's true. Dove Chocolate at Home hostesses introduce their friends and family to Dove's exclusive line of premium chocolates through in-home Chocolate Tasting Parties. Dove also offers an opportunity to become a Dove Chocolate at Home Chocolatier.

It sounds like a delicious way to make a buck. But be aware. The starter kit is $399, which is pricey. But it does include, according to the Dove site: "a professional grade tempering unit, candy making tools, chocolate, product catalogs, order forms, training materials and a training DVD. There is enough chocolate for a practice party, and your first four 'official' Tasting Parties."

In addition, you have a sponsor and a home office team to help you get your business started. If you're interested, check out the Dove Chocolate at Home site. Yum!

This looks like a fun opportunity. TFS Media Network is looking for a writer to blog the Summer Olympics on their newest blog: SummerOlympian.com. If you're passionate about sports and excited about the 2008 Summer Olympics, this might be the job for you. It is a paid position.

Here's how to apply off the ProBlogger Job Board:

"Please send a brief explanation of interest in and qualifications for this position, two writing/blogging samples related to the topics, and links to your online writing experience (links are helpful, but not required) to: apply@tfsmedianetwork.com." Good luck!

Money Saving Myths about Grocery Shopping

I went to the grocery store yesterday to buy a few things, just some bread, milk, and peanut butter. But of course, as soon as I got there, I remembered all the other things we needed. Still, I was shocked when I got to the checkout and saw the total. When did a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk get to be unaffordable?

The NY Daily News published an article yesterday that I found helpful. It's 10 Myths on Saving Money at the Grocery Store. It confirms what I already knew. Milk is up 19%. Bread is up 11%. Chicken is up 9%. And eggs are up a whopping 25%. Read it and weep.
