This is a great temporary part-time position with Google that can lead to ongoing work with them. You must speak English, have a bachelor's degree, high-speed Internet, and a valid U.S. or Canadian work authorization.

Are You Too Emotionally Invested in Your Job?

I read an article yesterday at The Simple Dollar that really got me thinking. Basically, the author of The Difference Between a Job and a Career explains the difference between a job you work to put food on the table and a career. Of course, I knew there was a difference. But I never really thought about what the difference might mean in terms of emotional investment.

How much emotional energy should you invest in something if it's only a way to make money, but has no possibility of advancement? Sure, you should do the job you're getting paid to do, and to the best of your ability. But should you let it stress you out? Should you be saving that kind of energy for more important endeavors - your family, for instance?

I found the article gave me a new perspective on my work. Read it and let me know what you think.
