Work at Home: BettyConfidential Seeking Managing Editor

BettyConfidential.com is seeking a web-savvy managing editor with "smart, stylish editorial skills."  You will report to the EIC, and will work closely with the executive editor, editor-at-large, and a team of freelance writers. You will also be working with BettyConfidential's marketing and advertising departments. The ad says they prefer "someone in greater New York area who gets -- and has -- the fresh, witty, and, we admit it, occasionally snarky, up-to-the minute attitude that characterizes the site."

Responsibilities include managing and overseeing work, assigning and editing content, selecting and cropping photos, and writing headlines, captions, articles, etc. as needed, with SEO in mind.  You must have at least 2 years of Web managing editor experience, strong editing and copywriting skills, and an interest and enthusiasm for women's media.  You must be flexible and detail-oriented and work well under pressure.  Finally, you must have basic knowledge of Excel, Photoshop, HTML, Wordpress, CMS, and other major Web platforms.
