The majority of the time on this site, I post new telecommuting opportunities.  But working for someone else is not the only way to make money on the Internet.  Online businesses are thriving on the Internet.  And as the Internet grows and its number of users expand, so will your business.

I hope to start spotlighting more home business ideas here.  For some people, owning and running their own online business is a perfect fit.  As someone who owned an online book business for five years, I can honestly say there are many rewards in starting and operating your own business.  While there is more responsibility and paperwork, there's also more freedom.

I found a really neat article by someone who started a unique online business.  And frankly, I found his or her (not sure of gender) success with this business pretty surprising.  Read White Bread & Green Dough, or How I Opened an Online Bakery at SavingAdvice.com.  I think you'll be surprised and inspired.
