How Much Money is in Your Emergency Fund?

No matter what your income, all financial gurus recommend that you establish an emergency savings fund.  What constitutes an emergency?  Loss of a job, loss of your only means of transportation, an illness which keeps you from working. 

But the question many people struggle with is: how much should be in the emergency fund?  I've heard 6 months worth of money, 12 months, and 18 months.  Frugal Dad has a great post on this subject.  It's Emergency Funds on Steroids.  Check it out!
