Work-at-Home Editor for Web-Based IT Publication

A 34-year old publishing company is seeking an editor to manage a new Web-based IT publication. From the ad: "You will be responsible for developing editorial strategy, writing articles, managing contributing writers, aggregating press releases, and producing weekly e-newsletters. Work may be done in the San Diego office, with the option to work from home. Some travel may be required to cover industry events."

(From the ad) Qualifications:

Solid journalistic skills: writing, interviewing, editing, researching, etc.
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines on daily and weekly basis
Background in information technology, with special preference given to cloud computing, grid computing and HPC
Enthusiastic interest in science and technology
Ability to work with small, but tightly knit staff spread across the country
