Here's a great recipe for Valentine's Day. It's even simple enough to do with your kids. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-2/3 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- confectioner's sugar
- 1 9-oz. pkg Hershey Kisses, unwrapped
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl, combining the flour and cocoa first, then blending that into the butter. Add walnuts, and beat on low until thoroughly blended. Chill one hour until firm.
Shape the mixture into balls. Press a Hershey's Kiss into the middle of each ball, and place these on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool. Roll in confectioner's sugar.
