I've said it often. Working from home isn't for everyone. It takes a particular type of person to not only succeed, but enjoy the telecommute life. I wanted to share a link to a great article on just this subject - "Making it Work at Home" by Beth Wood. The article highlights the stories of two women who have started successful home businesses, and the challenges they faced.
I especially like Ellen Goodwin's Words of Wisdom regarding the telecommute life: "I have a savings account I can tap during bad months. During good months, I put a little more away. It's important to have that safety net." And I couldn't help but laugh when I read about the "pitfalls" of working so near a kitchen. Anyone who works from home knows just how easy it is to put on a few (or more) pounds. Check the article out!
