I was reading this morning about the devastating earthquake in China and its aftereffects. If you've watched any of the television coverage, you can see the desperation on the faces of those who have lost friends, family, and home. Millions of families are now living in makeshift tents. Hungry and exhausted, many have not only lost their home; they've lost their only child.
The government is making an appeal to the world for tents to shelter people until their homes can be rebuilt or they can be relocated. If you would like to help, the Network for Good is accepting donations for Chinese Earthquake Relief. Another reliable relief organization is The American Red Cross, where you can also donate to the victims of the cyclone in Myanmar.
