Don't Fall for the Latest Work from Home Scam

 
There's a new work at home scam out there, and the scammer is posing as the U.S. government.  It starts with a recording that says the government is hiring home workers to call people who have recently sold their home, and are due a refund, but never received it.

After that, it follows the usual M.O.  You're asked to press a number to speak to a live person, then you're told you'll need to pay $69 for a starter kit.  This is NOT the federal government, folks.  Don't fall for it.  To read more, see this story at The Columbian
