Changing to a frugal lifestyle is best taken on in baby steps. But sometimes, you're given no choice. You have to dive right in, whether due to a crisis or divorce or some other life altering event.
I was thrown into living frugally seven years ago, when my husband and I separated, and I suddenly had to raise three daughters under drastically different circumstances. It was hard, but I made it. At the time, though, I didn't have the resources that are available now. There wasn't as much information freely available on living on a budget.
I just discovered a new resource. It's Like Merchant Ships, and I want to share the author's five-part series, How to Live Well on Less. Don't let the post entitled "Managing Servants" throw you. The servants here are household appliances. Enjoy!
