My life is about to change drastically. It's a change that comes every year at this time, and it's always an adjustment. My kids are officially out of school for the summer. You'd think that since they're teenagers, this would not affect me much. But it does.
The benefits? No more homework. Less stress. Less bureaucratic paperwork to fill out. The disadvantages? I don't have that huge block of time while they're in school to get work done (or, if I've been working all night, get some sleep).
But it's definitely less life disrupting now than it was when they were younger. Leslie Truex at WAHM 2.0 has written a great article for those of you with school-age children. It's Working at Home with Kids During the Summer. Check it out!
