Just what I love. It's easy. It's chocolate. It's cheesecake.
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups Nestle's semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
11 oz. Philadelphia Brand cream cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups Cool Whip, thawed
1 ready-made Graham Cracker crust
Shaved chocolate for garnish
Additional Cool Whip for garnish
Directions:
- Melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave (my choice), stirring constantly. Let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and butter, and beat until of a smooth consistency.
- Blend in the chocolate slowly and fold in the Cool Whip until blended.
- Spoon the cheese/chocolate filling mixture into the graham cracker crust and cover. Chill in the refrigerator until firm.
- Garnish with Cool Whip and shaved chocolate, if desired.
