Mmm... crunchy peanut butter and bananas. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I like my desserts and sweet breads. Had to share this one.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup sifted self-rising flour
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
Directions:
- Sift flour. Then cream shortening and peanut butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar gradually until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add eggs. Beat well.
- Stir the flour into this mixture, then the bananas. Mix well.
- Spoon into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
