I'm generally pretty tight with money. My kids will tell you that growing up, they rarely got a new toy unless it was their birthday or Christmas. We didn't hit Toys R Us every week like some of their friends' families did. But at Christmas, I loosen up the purse strings. After all, it's only once a year. Right?
