Most financial advisers will tell you that in order to build wealth, you have to make a budget and stick to it. I hate that word: budget. It sounds rigid and restrictive. Maybe that's why I have yet to really succeed in making one and adhering to it.
Don't get me wrong. I know how much money I make each month. I know approximately how much will go to pay bills. And I try to put a little toward savings every month. But I've never really sat down and listed on paper everything I spend in a typical month - not down to the penny anyway.
